Q:

CCI .22lr standard Velocity?

Where can you get the CCI .22lr standard velocity in the 50 round “Paper” box and what price is being charged. The CCI plastic box adds about $2.xx to the cost of 100 rounds.

J*sus… nice shot… I hate those buggers but that’s a gruesome picture!

I blew one out the other week with an SS and crow magnums… I retrieved it and its intestines were outside its body. He wouldn’t give me a clean head shot – thankfully for him he only lasted 8 seconds after he was hit – dodo.

For hunting try CCI subsonics. They have a big hollowpoint and it causes massive destruction. Only problem I had was something didn’t fit right in my CZ, and I had to smack it pretty good to get the bolt closed. But they did shoot fine.

Although those standards work fine for hunting. May not make a huge hole, but I haven’t had anything but a headshot in a while, which drops squirrels like a rock.

Here’s a squirrel that had most of its head removed with one of those subsonics:

I’ve never seen the paper box before but Remmington Subsonics might be cheaper to achieve the same thing.

Definitely not. Those remingtons are pretty accurate, when you get a consistent batch. They were horrible for me. Every once in a while I could get a good box, but almost always they would shoot at widely varying speeds. One at 1000, the next at 1050, then a 1200. Even without a chrony you could hear the noise difference, and 1 in 10 would break the sound barrier.

CCI is much more consistent, which is the name of the game with accuracy.

They didn’t group for shit for me. While cci grouped in one hole at 50 yards. I just bought a brick of thunderbolt so ill see how that stuff shoots tomorrow.

Champion’s Choice has the best price per brick of CCI .22lr Standard Velocity.

2 paper boxes @ $5.oo per 100 rounds.
1 Plastic box…@ $7.oo per 100 rounds!

If you buy 500 round bricks, those prices are discounted. The shipping is the Make/Break cost point, reason for me checking price’s you’re paying?

Local shops push the High velocity/Hyper sonic for Hunting, Hits harder, kills better, and the Expensive Target ammo, more better accuracy. We Can’t sell standard velocity/subsonic’s, nobody buys em, but I will special order them for you @ our Special extra high price?

I got them in the plastic at cabelas.

Around here I get them at a pawn shop.

First place I ever bought them was a dicks sporting goods.

If that fails, online. 😀
