First guys lets get things straight here
#1…there are issues with the Sam Yangs…accidental discharges and all that rot. Never happened with ANY that I have owned but it’s a reported issue.
#2…a few keep referencing the recent DBOI regarding JH rifles
sorry that WAS NOT about rifles but rather QB conversion tubes. Bad enough but lets at least try to be clear that this DBOI feed back had zero to do with complete rifles.
#3…Corsairs are simply modded QB78 rifles and I seem to recall a few folks having initial issues with them. Understand all that one needs to convert a QB to .308 is a new bolt and barrel, a pressure tube and modded valve to make it HPA
that is in no way an attempt to diminsh the Corsair but its hardly anything ground breaking…lots of folks have built these and most of the resultant rifles cost & perform the same as the Corsair while in my opinion looking a great deal better. Remember the donor gun is a QB. Here’s an old shot of my build, it’s changed a great deal but in this form it was launching round balls at better then 900 FPS

Yes thats a Haley tube with a barrel & bolt & modded QB valve by Rich
Currently it’s tore back down for more alterations including a Richards stock, possibly the addition of a Marauder trigger group…too many projects 😆 😆 😆
Here’s another if you like off the beaten track Big Bores
one of Perotti’s first .32 pump Sheridan conversions
tweeked the valve a bit per Jim’s instruction…runs an easy 840 FPS on around a dozen pumps. Needs more work though.

as far as the JH controversy I think both sides have valid points but there seems to be a great deal of emotion attached to this debate 😉
Thank goodness my Corsair is trouble free LOLOL. 😀
Did you miss the .457 from earlier this year, or the latest post on the DBOI on the Yellow?
I haven’t asked you anything that I don’t ask anyone else with any sort of bigbore. They don’t get anywhere near as defensive as you do.
People that know you (in Hawaii), tell me different about you (other than the machining part).
When you constantly sing the praises of a makers rifles at the drop of a hat, and people buy based off of your opinion, so yes you DO have something to prove (not to me…..to the airgunning community as THEY are my concern).
Toot my own horn? For reporting the performance of my rifle, and posting testing data that no one else was doing? MY testing reports have helped A LOT of people figure-out their 909 guns.
I didn’t build the rifle, nor tune it. That’s not tooting my own horn, that is putting out valid info that is useful to airgunner’s with 909 guns, or people interested in them. A HELL of a lot more info than you have EVER offered about your haley rifles.
Put up, or shut up. Let’s see something concrete out of you for ONCE. ANYTHING!
Butcher :People that know me in Hawaii personaly know that I do a lot of testing, chrony work, macihine work & longrange shooting on all my guns.I don’t have anything to prove you, when you don’t even own a Haley gun.All you can do is toot your horn about a korean rifle. I would’nt give a second look & stir up trouble on a 2+year old .32 qb haley that you don’t even own.Your a broken record on -on. What do I care, what you think of me you mean nothing to me.
So Rodney,
1) How many times have you shot your Haleys out past a whopping 30 feet?
2) How many rounds have you put thru your individual Haley rifles?
3) Have you tested the velocities of each rifle with a chrony? If so, why do you refuse to share that info every time you are asked for it?
4) Do you have the balls to share some pics of your Haleys dis-assembled? Even your best one out of 8 or whatever?
Due to your failure to answer these questions every time you are asked (here, and on the Yellow…now, and several months ago), I can’t help but get the impression that you really don’t know your rifles very well. If so, in essence you are recommending music that you have never even listened to. But you spoke to the band manager, and they are really nice?
So what are YOU hiding Rodney? Like I said before….put up, or shut up.
i responded in the other thread.

😀 😀 I didn’t say it was ground Breaking and neither did Randy 😀 😀 As a matter of fact I think he said the same thing you did. Only thing he did was use a method of assembling it that takes a special tool, that’s why Mine hasn’t been played with, I’ve seen on here where people has tried to alter their Corsair Rifles. Mine is still stock and shoots bodacious and is going to stay that way, As a matter of fact I just tried some Sabots loaded with 224 52 grain hollow points and it shoots outstanding at 25 yards haven’t got to try to 45 yet the snow is too deep and I ain’t no snow man LOLOL,. As I said I almost bought a Haley but they didn’t respond to my email, so I bought the Corsair,”Thank Goodness” lolol 😀
Mine messed up in the beginning and Randy saw my post on here and called me on the Phone and told me to box that gun up and sent it back it wasn’t right. So I did, and when I got it back it shot like a Champ.
Now I’m not knocking Haley for I havent had one of his guns in my hands, But I must ask.. Did Haley look at this forum and call the buyer and tell him to send it back it wasn’t right? If not you might go to adventures in airguns and pay some business respect to Randy. He don’t wait for you to call he calls you!! Now that’s service after the sell!!! 😀 😀
