CF Tank
So I decided to go carbon fiber scuba tank, any suggestions for the best place of purchase would be much appreciated.
Just found out the dive shop here has no prob. filling it.

Yeah I went down to Dive n Surf to fill my steel scuba tank and talked to them, they have a huge setup for filling, was impressed.
the guy said to get to a full 4500 I would have to leave it for a day/cold fill I gu ess.
I’lldefenitly call pomona on Tues.

The tank is 4350 IIRC and if they can fill to that, then you would be set and have a ton of air.
It is a good way to go. Being able to get it filled is a huge plus!

The dive shop is a couple miles away, do you think I’m going the right way or would you think nitro would be better??
The whole idea of renting a nitro bottle kinda bugs.

I am not for sure on the cf dive tanks, but I know about our cf SCBA air tanks at work (I am a Firefighter). 2 or 3 years ago we changed from steel air bottles to carbon fiber type bottles. We have to be very careful during training not to drag a person with their air pack on because the abraisions will damage the tanks very quickly. We did make protective covers for our tanks to use during training.
I think if you get one, you may want to look for or ask about a protective cover. then again the dive tanks may have a different design or composit than our scba tanks.
