Q:

change barrels? .357 would be a powerful caliber with that

Can the texan swap barrels? It would be sweet to get a .357, 308 or even a .257 barrel. I love casting my bullets for my bigbores and hope this rig can do much like my condor.

What speeds are you getting with those 480grain bullets? What mold do you use? I use a Lyman and hope these rounds fit when the texan arrives in Canada. Where did you get your texan? Have you ever owner other .45 airguns?

480 grain slugs may not fit in the Texan. I tried some 520 grain and 575 grain and they were too long. I had to roughly cut them down to 420-470 grain with the bandsaw just so they would be short enough to feed.

It a complete valve swap. .308 valve will work on .357 if barrel is machined the same.

.457 is still untested

Do you make valves for .357 and .457? I would love to make crazy upgrades to my condor that can shoot harder than my samyang 9mm recluse and .45 light hunter. I thought swapping the top hats on these valves would enable me to use 9mm or 45 kits.

To get 200 foe you will need 34″ barrel and 3600 psi.

Valves are made for each caliber.

Sounds exciting! What kind if power can be created in .257? 200fpe? Can I do 200-300yard plinking with that setup? Can I use your valve to shoot .308, .357 or even .457 with my condor? I am curious because I would like to have a multi purpose airgun that is easy to mod. I still have my eye set on the texan and would love to do 100-300 yard or more plinking with some of the casted bullets I made.

You need a minimum 28″ barrel and one of my valves. If setup with a 3600 psi tank you can get 8-10 good shots.

I am open to kits for my condor and am already casting my own bullets. What do I need to get a .257 65 grain shooting at 1000fps? How many shots can I get per charge? I definitely aim to get a texan to shoot my .457 480grain bullets.

Texan is what it is. No barrel swaps

I don’t understand why every body thinks if you take a .45 and put a .257 barrel in it it’s will be a shooter. You would end up with basically a condor with a .257 barrel.

The larger the caliber the easier it is to make power. More surface for the air to push on
