Change your bolt’s O-rings
Are thinking, “Well…it’s only a little more noise, and it seems to shoot well if I could control the vertical a bit better.” Got news for you…the extra noise creeps up on you.
It’s not the noise…it’s the variability of gas pressure on the base of the pellet.
Changed the two o-rings…groups much better, noise down.
talong SS…running co2…lighetend hammer….set to “#6″…running 585fps/14.3gr…new end cap…man, this thing is quiet. Raining (can see some drops on the target) so only had 22 yards for testing.

really? i was gonna buy some 75d viton rings just a second ago. glad i asked. do the lower durometer ones wear out quicker or something?
if anyone was wondering, the dash number for these o-rings is -011.
90 seems to be the popular choice

I do indeed understand ribbonstone. I picked up 4 for 2 sets of 2.
I’ve had my gun “completely” apart recently and am sure that I can do it again. After 1000 rounds plus, I’m sure my o-rings could use a change…..so could my pellet trap. Heh.
Get at least two.
Are two o-rings in that bolt, one at each end. the rear one (that fits to the top hat when the bolt is closed) is easy to get to and change. the front one (that fits to the barrel) requires the bolt be out of the gun….and the bolt is usually the last thing you can get out (might be easier to remove the threaded ring and pass the bolt out through the back).
If either is loose, will leak some pressure…making a good bit of noise as well as making the amount supplied to the pellet vary from shot to shot.

Breech Slide O-ring: 7/16 x 5/16 x 1/16
Had it all apart looking for anything else that might need adjusting or cleanin, so the bolt was in my hand at the time. Tooth pick worked fine to get them out, with little chance of the wood harming the bolt.
Will have to check the size as I just picked out of a loose bag of Viton 0-rings. Origainls were Nitrile.
A tiny bit of silicon grease (usually will just rub it onto the o-ring) and you’re good to go.
I used a dental pick to remove the old ones. Gotta be extremely careful with those, they will scratch delrin very easily.
Just poke the ring, lift out of the groove then push. It may take a few tries but the o-rings come out pretty easy.
