Q:

Changing calibers

Hey all,
I was looking at getting a .22 caliber barrel for the condor ss, and wanted to know if I would need to change the valve stem, as I have the condor set up with a stock .25 barrel now and the stock valve that comes with the .25 gun. I also wanted to make sure the barrel is 18″. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks Charlie, i had figured it would, but when i bought the gun i thought the guy who sold it to me said i would have to change the top hat with the barrel, but i couldn’t find different sized top hats.

I did just the opposite. I changed my SS from a .22 to a .25. Mine has a TT one piece top hat and it worked like a champ. The barrel assembly I bought from Pyramid Air had the bushings installed already so it took maybe 10 minutes to make the change. I was concerned about clipping with the .25 pellets, but it was not a problem. At 25 yards, the scope was even pretty close too. a few shots/adjustments and i was in business. Yours should work just fine too.
Good luck,
Charlie

One of the greatest features of the AF platform is changing calibers. But I’m unable to get a stock 22 cal LW barrel for my Condor SS (2013) 25 cal from AF for about a year now it’s been out of stock. The thicker barrels are available for the older guns, but haven’t found the ones for the SS models anywhere.
