Q:

Changing the barrel to 25cal

When I pulled out the Condor 22cal barrel there was a white O-ring and thin felt washer on the last bushing. The CD does not mention these. I went ahead and placed the O-ring back in the frame and it went all the way down (hammer) and slipped the felt washer over the breech side of the 25cal barrel and slid it all in place, inserted the 4 screws ( shorts on the sides ) and torqued them down.

Is this correct ?

If I’m thinking right, there shouldn’t be any “blast pressure swell” around the o ring at all since it sits up against the back of the barrel bushing which would shield the blast from it. Actually, unless the front barrel bushing is vented, it would have 2 barrel bushings to seal the blast from it. Like Lama said, these o rings are to help make the PW turn easier against the bbl bushing, and it seems they are both in the condor and SS

are the white o-rings not a staple item for the gun – thought they help seal off most of the blast -pressure swell while the gun is in 12″ mode on the ss-and condors dual purpose + smooth turning of the power wheel

Thanks Saugus, good tip. Yeah I had already put it back together. The gun was brand new, never fired yet. That 22 cal barrel is virgin !

Tach, i geuss you put it back together already but I found that if you put some divers silicone on that white O ring the PW turns much easier when re-installed. When I changed barrels once, I could barely turn the PW, so I took it back out, greased it, and then it turned real smooth, but yours may not need it. Sometimes they get a little dried out in time.

That’s what I wanted to hear airheads….thanks for your expertise 😀

Yep.

The white ring is on both sides of the power wheel, makes it easier to turn. The other ring I guess just gives a little padding to everything so it doesn’t pound directly on metal every time.

YES IT IS.
