cheap 30 millimeter scope rings
I finally received my Hawk scopes ,first scope i have with 30mm tubes . All of my other other scopes have one inch tubes.I am not looking to break the bank on mounts,I currently use Weaver High 1 inch mounts.The mounts i use are nit see through, they were $10 at walmart. The weaver mounts work great on PCPs. Does anyone use any cheap mounts ?I have a 1in. 6×24 Bushnell Elete
on both my EDgun and Cricket,they both set approximately 1.75 inches above the center of bore.I am currently looking at Leapers mounts they are medium size this can be found at :http://www.opticsplanet.com/leapers-weaver-style-30mm-medium-profile-see-thru-ring-fits-scopes-up-to-45mm-obj-4-t.html.The site said that the medium size mounts can be used up to a 58mm scope.Just wondering how high these would put me over the bore.I would like to stay about 1.75 inches .

These are not cheap but these keep the scope as low as one could go without hitting the eye bell on the Hawke sidewinder It should give you a nice reference.
Here is the most simple method I have ever seen on how to choose scope rings. This is how I found those Leupold rings would fit

watch the video that’s a good idea but you would need the scope rings in order to measure to see the height that you would need or to compare them to thanks for the information guess I will order the rings medium and high the leapers to see which works best for my face and cheek
