Q:

Checking tank pressure

How do you check tank press. I have the scuba fill, it only gives press. when I open the scuba tank valve. How can I check press. to see how much is left in the gun tank.
When the scuba tank is down below 2400 psi. is it time to get it filled ?

Thanks Glenn

You can use your scuba setup to see how much air is in the tank – When you open the scuba valve it will quickly pressurize the hose (because its small volume). Once the hose pressure is > than the tanks pressure the valve on the bottle will open and start filling the tank – tank volume is much higher than the hose volume so you will see all this as the needle going up fast and then slowing – the point that needle slows is the pressure in your tank. You can also hear or feel the valve open aswell.

I can’t suggest no more than installing a pressure gauge on your gun tank. 😀

tobe filled or not after 2400 is depend on your usage, if you have a disco which operates at max 2000, why you need to refill it?

just my 2 c.
