Q:

Checking the pressure in my Air tank?

Hey guys.

So i have a .22 condor with no special thing on it at all.
When i pump up my tank, i usually get it to about 2900 then stop and put it away, i never leave it inside its case with any less pressure usually.

Is there a way i can check what pressure is in my tank before i go to shoot it? – i fill it using a hill pump, and i have to do a few strokes of the pump before it gets to the correct tank pressure, and id hate to over fill it!

thanks if you respond.

You will not overfill the tank to any dangerous level using a hand pump to see how full it is.

So there is no way other than checking with the hand pump? Damn

Hand pump or you could probably rig a gauge to screw onto the tank that would show how much pressure was in it. I would think you could use the adapter that is used for filling the tank but instead of attaching it to the pump it would be attached to a gauge.

Most use a air supply with a gauge. Others are correct you will never overfill by pumping it half a dozen times. These things take alot of pumps to increase pressure over 2500 psi.
I use a guppy tank with liquid filled gauges I find them more accurate.
This is an expensive hobby lmao

install a TTTA or Spin lock tank or hook up your Hill Pump….

Problem is, if im to be honest, im not comfortable spending $175 for a little valve that tells me the air pressure.
And as mentioned, in order for me to find out the pressure using the hill pump, i need to pump it a few times, and run the risk of an over fill.
