Q:

Cheek piece

Hi,

Which one is better: wooden or composite cheek piece? Are there any major differences except for the material them are made from?

I know that GKU needed to add some tape to the wooden one to make the hold tight.

Any opinions?

ThankS

Looks like the wooden one is better.

My 25 is only a few months old and it is painted with a texture like you get with a rough paint roller. I thought it was plastic and squeezed it to make it fit tighter, did not look at the bottom first. It snapped in half with very little pressure.

Are we on the same page?

It looks like solid plastic.

Don’t know about the walnut one but the “composite” one is painted softwood. It won’t take long for the oil on your skin to soften the paint and you will end up with a stripe on your cheek.

Both the same IMHO. Do you have either one?
