a bit of self adhesive neoprene sheet cut to the right size takes care of the cold metal feeling.
3mm thick seems too thick to me, get 2mm I think would be even better.
If you like you can cover the longer front dural bit too. I left the screws accessible because I am messing around that area.
It would look nicer when cut larger covering all bolts.
The adhesive comes off with turpentine/acetone so no worries and residues, durable too

I thought about using some high density foam for the same purpose. Maybe I’ll chop up an old wetsuit and see how it pans out.

Hello, a friend who has a 3d printer made me a cheek piece as i have really high mounts (eaglevisioncam adjustable) they are a little raw made but work perfectly.
Actually with those i dont get my beard hair getting stuck in the magazine!!
