Cheek Piece Mod Complete
Hi lads
Just thought I’d share my latest tweak.
With a new scope mount which raised the scope by 1/2″ I needed a better cheek weld. The receiver top is too thin to drill and tap and was confirmed by Ed that there isn’t enough material. So the grey matter got to work and with the help of an airsoft cheek piece, picatinny rail, glue and a dremel tool she’s all complete and adjustable for height and back/forward adjustment.

Pretty cool mod, I have one of those on one of my rimfire rigs.
I like the but extension you did as well, very nice!
Your possibly quite right my colonial brother. Albert Pierrepoint mastered the art in later years, but if I am related old Henry I’ll be claiming squatting rights in Hampton Court toot sweet I can tell you!! 😉

You UK types have always had a tendency towards long necks!!! Likely comes from back when Henry VIII was hanging so many citizens…the method used in those days was quite crude, as a result, many of those hung survived, and seemed to have passed that resultant stretched neck trait onto their children.

The butt extention was put in place as the angle that the edgun stocks come in wasn’t optimal for my shoulder and as I do the majority of my shooting from a bipod I used a chunk of wood to bring to 90° and shaped accordingly to the wegu adjustable butt pad your sharp eye spotted.
Nothing amazingly technical in the materials, think the wood extension was hemlock from my local DIY store, the wegu butt pad was off an old BSA S10 I have fond memories of years ago. That wit some glue, screws, file shaping is the story to my ladies dress 😉

Being a lefty myself I had to make her as comfy as possible and the only reason I pursued this was due to a new.scope mount from Midwest Industries that raised the scope by 1/2″.
You guess correctly a short picatinny rail section glued on the side so the cheek piece clamps on, can be removed at anytime with minimal fuss.
When the mag is in place the crescent cut out isn’t felt on the shooters cheek, even without a mag you barely notice it.
The bolt knob cover is a KRG Bolt Lift originally designed for the remmy 700, I got the smaller of the two (large works just as well too :winkn: ) and with a few moments it was in place.

This setup makes a right handed gun almost comfortable for a lefty. You added a short picatinny rail on the left side to attached it to, did you?

Just a standard airsoft 5 position folding fore grip used as a rear monopod style grip. Can fold to 90°, 135°, 180°, 225°, and 270°.
Nice and comfy as a handstop in its folded position and has a small compartment if you need to carry any small item like an Allen key or spare battery etc. Attaches via picatinny rail so can be removed if not required.

Thanks Brian, reminds me a little of a Desert Tech :smilen:
I chose a WW2 olive camo spray paint to get a close match for Flat Dark Earth, didn’t come out too bad and in pictures it looks very different…more of a snot green/brown lol
Air bottle away for testing so only have 235bar to last me 2 weeks 😐
Vic that is a great looking Eddie. It reminds me of an Accuracy International set up. I love the color scheme.
