Chrony numbers with Benjamin tank ???
I was looking at the Benjamin tank with the 2000 psi regulator for a Talon … sounds like a good set up to me. Anyone have any real data on that tank on an Airforce gun ??
Any guesses as to what a 2000 psi regulator would do for shot count and velocity ??

One other thing I forgot … when I hooked up one of those Air Source cartridges to the Talon I was getting app. 80 shots per cartridge.
I liked that set up as the cartridge is small and lightweight to pack around and it is easy to sight thru your scope with.
I bought the paintball adapter at Wal-Mart … screwed that into the co2 adapter on my Talon and bingo instant Air Source power source.
I got hurt and needed back surgery so Tony was nice enough to buy my Talon from me when I desperately needed the money. I had the rifle in with him for a complete make over and had my life turned upside down by a major spinal injury.

Ok I placed an order for the standard co2 18″ barreled Talon in .177 and a Benjamin Tank … I have the paintball tank adapter here that fits the co2 adapter supplied with the Talon so when it arrives its a simple matter of getting the Benjy tank filled and run some shots over the Chrony.
I don’t own a Scuba Tank, HPA Hand Pump, or an HPA Compressor. IF … this Benjy tank works well then I can just purchase several of those and refill them all at once when I drive by the Paintball Shop.
I wonder how many shots that regulated tank will get. Guess I’m the first one to try this. Can’t wait to see what happens.

I would like to have a Talon with a regulator just to see what it was like.

That’s a standard paintball regulator thread, it WILL screw right into the CO2 adaptor. You don’t need the Benjamin – you can pretty much take any similar regulator/tank combo and adjust the output to your desired psi. John DiStefano has some very good deals at the moment on the pre-adjusted regs:

I’ve adjusted the output of a Guerilla Ambush regulator on a 13ci tank as high as 1500 psi for a Crosman project I worked on a while back.
They’re really quite simple to play with. Some regulators have an internal piston held in place with a standard sping, some use belleville washers to achieve the same effect. Shimming the spring or adding more washers respectively with up-regulate the output psi. Very easy to do with common tools – however, you need a way to check the output after you finish these adjustments – like a remote with a gauge attached to it. Or just buy one preset at the psi you need…
I was under the impression that it would thread right onto the co2 adapter … the little ones like you find at Wal-Mart. I used one of those to feed my Talon those Air Source co2 cartridges … for the short time I had it. Planning to buy another real soon.
There’s probably more to it than just mismatched threads, otherwise someone would of already made an adapter for it.
I kind of think that the threads must not match the ones to the airforce C02 adapter. If they did, that would be one hell of a setup.
