Q:

co2 adapter or reg. problem?

Hi

I shot talon ss with Co2 adapter on regulated HPA today and after I pull the trigger, the air just kept going out and the hammer did not move back and tight against tophat which is stock in. I then push the hammer, then air stopped from co2 adapter. I don’t know why the tophat was not going back. I opened the valve and saw nothing wrong, then open the reg. I did not find anything wrong, those springs in good shape.

please help, which one could be failed co2 adapter or reg.

thanks

problem solved. there is retaining brass bushing loose that on back of the spring. so the spring lost the power to push stem back.

Perfect! Well done!

Voltar_1 is right, not the reg problem. I put another HPA with 1800 psi good reg on this CO2 adapter, the co2 steam was not close. yes, the valve spring was failed. I called the AF and they charge $2.5 and $5 delivery.

thanks, all.

yes, it does so well.

but this is my problem. is that spring failed?

so if i understand right this same set up wit reg valve co2 adapter hammer spring tension ect first did work well ?

Thanks, here is my setup. after I fix the problem, I will post my string. before It gave me so many shots from 890 fps to 903 fps. group is about 3/8″ at 36 yards. if I could hold it better, the group could be smaller. the hammer hits so hard to hold it good.

I did not find any problem on co2 adapter.

i don’t understand your post verry well.
but the volume of the co2 adapter is to small to get high powershots.
the shot will drain the pressure of the chamber to much. result not enough pressure to shut the valve.

i would like to know the set up, chrony string and grouping of this;…………………………..
thanks, I need to put about 10 to 11 to open the valve and get 900 fps for jsb 18.1. it has been working so well. it’s so accurate and a lot of shots from 4300 psi to 2000 psi.

I put co2 adapter only on my gun, after fire it, the stem couldn’t bounce back.

stronger valve retainer spring may help. nobody thinks the reg. pressure will help the stem to push back.

Put it on 3 and leave it there

try with the powerweel on the minimum setting

or stronger valve retainer spring

thanks. I did not do any mod on it.

I tried to push the stem and it did come back.
when I put on the gun, and set power wheel to 11 or 12 and fire, the stem could not come back.

any solution?

Did you modify the size of the holes in the stem?

Valve spring should close the valve

Reg is not the problem !

Thanks. I disassembled the CO2 again and check the stem and lube it, replace the stem o-ring, check the spring, everything looked good, then I put them together.

tried again. I dry fired it, sounds good, but when I put pellet and shot it, same problem again.

is that possible the reg did not provide enough psi to put stem back to shut off the valve? reg failed?

Stem is sticking

Breech slide
Stem oring
Valve spring and follower

Not the reg
