Q:

CO2 Questions…

I have a .22 Talon SS and recently got a couple of CO2 tanks (I’m waiting on the adapter). I’m totally new to the Talons and PCP airguns in general.

I was wondering what type of range I could expect to hunt reasonably with CO2. I know it depends on a lot of factors (IE PW, Barrel, Valve, etc…), but I’m just aksing for generalities. I’ll be using a Talon Tunes 18″ barrel. Or…can I hunt with it at all? I know the power is quite a bit lower than HPA.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Daniel

I think the Hoot is a hoot, especially when a man is capible of shooting off the pecker of a chicken at 80 paces, and when your wife gets home you better hide your ss, or she will be chasing you around just to shoot you in your ass again, hey idea, throw a gun under the seat of her car and call 911 say there is some crazy woman shooting out the car window, maybe good for another five or maybe the bitch.

Why thank you, Crowpopper!

Your pic looks a lot like my wife when she takes her shirt off! 😯

However, she looks a little slimmer since they started shaving her head, and her ass, in prison. She sweats an awful lot, even for a fat girl, and her cell mates complained she was attracting rats and roaches. They’ll be glad to see her gone. I’ll be glad to see her go back!!! Even if it did cost me $8500 for her attorney last time. ($500 to represent her, $8000 to ensure she was convicted.)

With a good scope, you can take the pecker off a chicken at 25 yards with no trouble at all. I know that for a fact!

I did that for a few weeks last Spring.

Old lady Combs, next door, was asking me why her chickens beaks were falling off. I explained to her that a “hard pecker” has always been problematic for males of any species! (She’s not too bright to begin with.) She just turned red and ran inside, muttering something about “getting the law down here again!!!”

After Spring turned into summer, when one wandered onto my property, I upgraded to .22 caliber, and just started blowing their heads plumb off. She still believes a chicken’s head is prone to explode when temperatures get over 90 degrees. Gwaad I love my Talon SS!

Kindly Ol Uncle Hoot

PS: On a sad note, my wife gets out of prison next month. She’s down two felonies. One more and she goes in for good. Keep your fingers crossed, maybe she’ll run over old lady Combs, and I can get her booked on vehicular homicide!!! Sometimes good things do happen to bad people. I’m due for some luck. 🙄

good ol uncle hoot

i love ur posts

Thanks guys for the info.

BTW…I’m hoping to get an EdGun in the October import. Can’t wait….

This airgun business is more expensive than my regular gun “hobby”!

There are many in Europe that are hunting with 12FPE rifles and your’s will be putting out a lot more than that…yes you can hunt with it and it will be effective on small game out to 50yds possibly more with the right shot….
