Coast T7 LED light – looking for mounting suggestions

It’s an impressive little bugger that throws some serious lumens on very little power. Now, I want to mount it to my gun with the ability to aim it. I found a mount from laser genetics. But, it costs 50 bones – seems a bit steep.

Does anyone know of an alternative to this device? Or, perhaps a similar device that would mount to a different part of the gun – the stock perhaps?

Yep, they are bright. Thats why i put the little 95 lum. on my rifle , the bigger one was really too bright and the small one works great at higher battery life.
Had this one on the rifle too, it is really way too bright.!!!

Yeah, I already bought the light. I was on the edge of buying an ND3, but just couldn’t justify that price tag. I intend to use this to lamp up a tree that is infested with starlings. They are gone now (for the year), but will return next spring to a very unfriendly welcome.

I used my Rayovac, 6-LED flashlight for comparison.

they carry those at Homo Depot, you really dont need that 167 luminous,
the small Led lenser that has 95 luminous is what i have on my Condor. and it really works great, it was like $39,i like it because it is very compact, and takes 3 AAA batteries.chose it because it has great battery life. the brighter ones have less.and i can shoot 100 yards with it just fine.

they have one that is 105 luminous for like $49 that has the adjustable bezel. that i have too. still 3 AAA . bigger and brighter.
Any way here , bought them both at home depot
they also have the one that i think you are looking at it takes 4 AAA or , and i think it was like 200 luminous

I made this mount out of an old 30mm scope mount, a piece of scrap steel and a few small screws.
It holds my 230 lumen LED on my Matador. It only takes a few seconds to add or remove.
I used the 30 MM rings and mounted it just in front of the forearm so I could activate the button, it works great.

Though you may need longer screws to encompase the wider body??
I have a COAST V2 and one of their Tactical flash lights (very tight beam)… Here’s some suggestions:
You may be able to use 1″ scope rings but my tactical was OD 1.03″, the V2 is OD 0.99″… You might try 30mm scope rings with some friction tape wrapped around the mount points to expand the OD. Bicycle inner tube or heat shrink can be effective also.
For a quick hack, get some velcro cable organizers from Home Depot, the 1″ wide stuff… that will hold the flashlight to the gun at the forearm/frame junction.
