Q:

cocking slot mod – now sorted

Hi all,

I recently bought a new Condor SS which came to me disassemble & today I put it all together along with some goodies from TT.
I took the opportunity before doing so to polish the bolt end of the barrel, bed in the barrel bushings with nail varnish and modify the cocking slot as discussed here
http://www.talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=28518

All went well except for the fact that cocking knob can’t be rotated much past the limits of the original side slots :banghead: which is a great deal less movement than detailed in the referenced thread. Has there been a design change for the bolt or is there some thing else that I need to do and have missed?

Dyotat100 many thanks for all your help yesterday.
You were quite right, this morning I was able to carry out the mod and the bolt rotated as hoped

Yes that’s the piece you want to remove. Then ouch the pin back in.

Dyotat thank you so much for the great information. I’ll give it a try tomorrow

Is that the same procedure as described here http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27098

It is manual after that. Then you can decock the gun also

Might has something to do with the auto safety. I bet if you remove that little piece it would be fine. That’s the only thing that is different.

Many thanks for the reply. Would that disable the safety completely or make manual?
