Completed my upgrades
well folks, I know its hard, impossible, or stupid to even think, but I believe I am officially DONE with my condor. I have turned my condor ss into many many things. a 24″ barrel .25 caliber cannon of a broomstick. and a complete stock gun. well now I have a perfect balance. Its light weight, its compact and it packs a 70 FPE whollup. special thanks to Tony at Talon Tunes for the help, and in making the most amazing mods and upgrades I have seen yet!
Gun: “Hammer Time”
new style trigger/safety Condor SS .25 in sexy time blue
TT hand lapped and polished 18″ .25 cal barrel with Extra vented barrel bushing installed about 3 inches down from muzzle of barrel (to add in rigidity and barrel stabilization)
Factory soundloc system

The gun is simply amazing. shooting 45 grain rat snipers it shoots about 13 good strong flat shots at 70 FPE, about 840 average fps on power wheel setting 2. put the large restrictor in and shoot JSB kings at 800 fps on same power wheel setting, and I get about 40 shots that look regulated. I do have a O ring under the top hat, as it just gives me more consistency. I know I can turn this up but i’m pretty happy with my air usage. 70 fpe is plenty for me, ad the shot count with the kings is awesome!

No insert. I am however using an o ring under top hat and the 18″ barrel. I lose a lot of efficiency with the 18″ barrel. I got like 40 shots with the 24″ setup. Just too long for me.
Are you using the quick change top hat with that string? If so, which insert are you using? Certainly a solid set up you’ve got there.
I am shooting my condor (24 inch barrel) with the large insert and getting a long shot string. 10-12 pounds of air per pellet. Shooting 31 grain Beeman Kodiaks at the moment. I should do some chrony work and see how my gun compares.
After some tinkering today, just adjusting preload and fill pressure i shot a beautiful 12 shot string. i’d like to get more shots, but these look almost regulated.

61.5 fpe and laser accurate. other than still not getting the quite shot count i want. i’d like to get 20 flat shots at 900 FPS AVG. but i’m very happy with my results. and its repeatable. Every shot string is within 1-2 fps average.
All I have to say is “Heeeeere Blackfoot, com’on boy, don’t be shy”… 😆
Nice! Will have to check that out. Not being able to decock the gun was one of the first things i noticed about the new version.
SO…
not sure what happened… but as soon as i do all the upgrades, the safety auto lever decides to jam up on me. couldn’t get gun off safe. had a gun cocked and loaded, and freaking out. take the tank off and come inside, google the safety lever removal (one small pin removed from right side of rifle) and booyah…. problem solved… scared me tho…
at least now i can cock and load and then decock the rifle. saves from wasting precious rat sniper slugs when hunting!

Right now, i have an o ring under top hat, and PW 1-8 pushing JSB king heavies at 912 fps avg. 2800 psi fill, refill at 2400 for 15 shots. 62 FPE. this is WITH the heavy hammer installed. standard hammer was seeming like it was getting valve lock at 3000 psi, even though i don’t need that kind of juice i wanted a more “solid” hammer strike. i am seeing a brass breech in my future, but i have to do my research on this.

Still doing some tweaking with everything. Right now I am doing spring/hammer testing. i have the lighter shorter AirForce hammer. I have the stock airforce hammer, and i have the Talon Tunes hammer. I also have the Stock spring, clipped one full coil. I have a stock spring, and i have a Talon Tunes heavy spring. right now, i’m set up the following.
TT heavy slap hammer
Stock Clipped one coil spring. PW 6-12, getting about 15 flat shots, 903 FPS average with 12 fps Extreme spread shooting a 33.95 JSB. I got about 18 flat shots 986 FPS and 17 FPS extreme spread shooting 25.4 JSB king at this same setting. I imagine if i turned the power wheel back a bit, and shot at 850 fps or so, i’d get a lot more shots, probably double, but i like this power level.
