Q:

Condemn on Mrod-airs’s copying of Carette compressor

Dear All,

As you may know, Mrod-air company advertised one compressor with appearace very similar to our Carette compressor.
( Actually that compressor is ours, but only sold within China market. The photo we guess is from someone who worked in China that has business or personal relations with Mrod-air company.)
Please note that the scraping marks on the photo is originally Chinese characters. (That is why they deleted it.)

We have no dealers in US up till now(Feb. 7th,2017).
We strongly condemn such behavior of copy and advertisement without our consent.
If Mrod-air staff see this post, please report to your boss to delete your advertisement.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Best Regards,
Bosun

+1 Agreed!

After talking with Tony, things are figured out and I understand what happened. I had tried to obtain an OK before saying anything here, but due to a mixup and Bosun’s thread (now CORRECTLY deleted) pre-empting me, I ended up saying something before pre-warning and authorization were made.

With the super free reign we are granted to speak at the Talon, I do lose sensitivity to the fact that Brancato is a competitor. We are very fortunate to have the Talon form that Tony provides. The light moderation here encourages a depth of conversation that is not otherwise possible. Tony’s created a uniquely positive atmosphere at Talon Tunes forum. It has just the right balance of knowledge depth, thread longevity, and membership size to keep it a vibrant and positive arena for air gunners. We owe a huge debt of thanks to Tony, for this place.

Now with Tony’s kind permission…

The Carette manufacturer has selected Joe Brancato for their US distributorship. I think this is much better than buying direct from China. A US dealership’s customer support paired with their good product is the way forward and I am happy to announce that news.

You really have to respect Tony for giving the OK for that statement here. Who else would let you do that on their forum? The Talon is THE place to learn and help each other. I know I repay generosity in kind and we all should have strong loyalty to Tony when shopping for our next air gunning toys.

Thanks again, Tony

Guy , maybe you stepped on someones’ toes and they didn’t like it and they have the power to bury it ?

Yes, there was a short posting by me about some dealership news. You didn’t imagine it. I appears to have been deleted from the Talon.

I have made inquiry to WalkingKing and Tony about the circumstances of the deletion.

Anyone foolish enough to order one of the “Carette clone” compressors being sold by Nimrodair is getting a 220 Volt compressor without a Pressure Maintaining valve and without the timed auto moisture release valve. But most of all, they would be buying from a company that gives no support. Whenever one of their fire saled priced P.O.S. models they are selling breaks down, they immediately blame the user for not following instructions. Electrical failures, oil related issues are always the customer’s fault, not the poorly designed compressor. The Carette compressor reviewed by Guykuo is a true U.S. market design 110 Volt model that will not overload a 15 amp circuit.. Anyone tempted to buy from Nimrodair should just be patient. The genuine Carette 110 volt compressor will be available soon and it won’t be serviced by a garage based distributor. Be careful and most importantly, do your homework. $1325 is not to be wasted on a compressor that’s your fault when it breaks as soon as you plug it in. Read the forums and buyer beware.

Part of the reputation China has if due for western countries. Because everyone is after the largest profit the fastest way they can, so the most cheapest shit is ordered for most profit. There is a lot of technical know how in China but most of the best products stay in their own market.
You get what you pay for. If you want to be cheap it’s cheap.

But yes there is lot of copying going on and I know that, but I won’t pay 300-450$ for a freaking bipod, so reasonable profit margins would add competition for some of the other companies out there around the world.
I know what I costs to make stuff, have done that for 9 years.
Be proud of your work, but not too proud to over price it!

Karma is a bitch isn’t it? The chinese have been copying and making knocks off for years. Pay back time. MAGA!!! :8:

Hi, I agree with what you said that Chinese have been copying for years.
I have been working in different factories for nearly 10 years and seen much copying.
Some US citizens (maybe not native Americans, you know? ABC, or immigrants for instance) help send original products to China manufacturers for copying.

But Sincere has no way in copying. His team spent two years for designing and testing this Carette compressor.
And now some Americans want to do copy job like most Chinese do.
I could only say that Karma is universal to all humans regardless of race, gender, nationality, etc.

Even if the legitimate producer happens to be in China, it is STILL a shitty thing to hurt someone who has put in real effort designing a product.

I would have expected better here at Talon.

I can’t believe they are still in business after screwing so many people over.

It was easy to find the full sized images of their compressor. i don’t know if this is the one they are trying to rip off from Carette though? I copied them if it helps the rightful owners they can access the links here.

This is just lame, hope no one is stupid enough to buy anything from those nimrodair fraudsters. And let’s hope they don’t spoil the good start on Carrette!
They should be prosecuted and put out of business for scamming lot of people.
