I have recently purchased a Condor and I’m considering purchase of a .25 barrel. Obviously the objective of increasing the caliber is to increase power, so 24″ barrel would obviously give higher performance, as compared to shorter barrels of equal caliber and pellet weight.
I assume the differences in accuracy are minimal, but I would think the difference in length reduces FPS by a certain amount for each inch less in barrel length. It would be very interesting to see the data compiled for a side by side comparison… is an 18″ .25 equal in power to 24″ .22 ? How much more from 24″ as compared to 21″ in .25? Is there a sweet spot between barrel length and power? The power of a 24″ .25 is very appealing… but I can’t help thinking about walking around in the woods with an air rifle that is as long as I am tall might be inconvenient. I welcome any data, experiences or opinions.

I think it is around 800 my cost. I couldn’t find one with target turrets, mil-dot,and side focus. At least not all in one scope. They make it, but no one had one when I wanted it. So my dealer called Zeiss. They said NO PROBLEM!!! 😀

knifemaker…..

How much is that zeiss gonna cost you & what are you having done to it?

Yep! Super addictive! 😀

I’m having a Zeiss built to my specs for the SS. Somthing I never did for the powder burners Not even the Weatherby’s!

I really like the idea or a 21″ Bbl.! If we ever get this move done brought on by the state of Texas and the imminent domain taking our land, 😥 I’ll be ordering one! 😀
