Q:

Condor and CO2 Upgrade

I have a Condor in .22 on its way from a seller on the Yellow Forum. I have been reading some of the posts here and will be in the market to use a scuba tank to fill it with HPA. I also see that there are CO2 adapters and availability to use CO2 in the Condor. What will I need to upgrade this. I have looked at some 20 oz aluminum CO2 Paintball tanks? They are about $15 and would have to be filled.

Thanks
Bill

The co2 works pretty good where im at in Southern Cali. Its been fairly warm this winter and getting pretty consistent shots. The 12oz only got me about 150 shots i would say but i could be alittle off. I don’t know if that seems low or not. My co2 adapter makes a slight hiss for a bit but after a couple shots it goes away. Probably just the seals not seating fully. Either way it works pretty good just for plinking and out to about 50 yards on ground squirrels.

No problemo… 😉

CO2 has worked just fine for me so far. It’s cheap and easy… a tank delivers 100’s of shots and costs exactly $2.50 to refill at the local sport shop.

I’ve whacked a small critter at 50 yds with it too, so it delivers the power and does the job in that respect as well.

That said, I’m thinking of investing in HPA over the winter, if not for anything more than to deliver a little more “whack” to the critters I aim at. But if I don’t, I know that CO2 will work just fine.

Thanks for the reply. I found the 12 oz’er for $12.99. I am listing the site and have not bought from them, so I have no idea about the product or their service.

I will wait till I get the system and make some measurements. Next item I will be looking for will be the best deal on a HPA tank…

Hope that helps someone who is getting ready to try the CO2 system…

All you’ll need is the AF CO2 adapter. Costs about $95 or so, and it screws in between the gun and the tank.

As far as tanks go, I use 12 oz. A 20 oz would work, but for ergonomics, the 12 oz is closest in size to the HPA tank.

BTW, $15 for a 20 oz CO2 tank is a great deal. I just paid $25 for a new 12 ozzer.
