Condor?
How does the Condor’s accuracy compare to the Marauder out the box? I miss my PCP rifles! I am debating to get the Condor or Marauder again.. What do ya’ll think? I love my Prod but I need a rifle. Shitty laws here state that I cant shoot a firearm withing 500 ft of a house. I could care less how loud the condor is as well, I like to piss off my neighbors 😉

Thanks again, powderburner. My wife says I need to be in a twelve step program for my pellet addiction. 😮 I told her twelve steps isn’t far enough; I need to be a minimum of 60 yards 😆 😆

I have taken my 22 condor with adjustment, from 7 fpe, to 85 fpe. with the 24″ barrel.
this last winter , i did allot of off hand shooting in the house by just shooting down the gun to around 500 psi to 1000 psi , and adjusting power wheel ,with the sametop hat setting as i was using before getting low 900’s with 14 grain pellets ,and getting 500 to 550 fps, makes for a nice 30′ shooter.
Again, another fine talking point. What about changing barrels? How much of a POI change would a person see in changing LENGTH of barrel of the SAME caliber? As stated above I have two Marauders, one .25 and one .22. My .22 is one of my indoor 10 meter silhouette rifles and I don’t need a two foot barrel to shoot indoors at little steel targets.:shock: As a matter of fact they don’t allow you to shoot over 12FPE. But I still need a 75 yard varmint disperser. I would like to reduce my inventory. (My wife made me say that) 😉 and maybe just have an extra barrel and shroud.
Powderburner I’m with you on the pellet trap. It takes two layers (maybe I need to add a third) of duct seal to keep it from hitting the ¼’ steel backing plate thus reducing the “ping”.
I can only speak for the 22 Condor, with good shroud you really dont hear the gun 15′ away only the pellet impact, even turned up with 32 grain pellets at 1000 fps you only here a slight air escaping noise from the gun 15 ‘ away .
Cant see it bothering anyone, a air nailer is like 1000 times louder that my Condor. What i had to work on is pellet traps, the impact is very loud, or was . 🙂 now the only thing you hear is the impact of the pellet hitting the paper.
This thread almost answers a question I have about quietness. With all things being equal, (i.e. pellet weight and FPS) will the Condor .25 with a shroud of course, (and which shroud would be recommended) be as quiet as or quieter than the Marauder. What about a .22 comparison? I have both Marauders, and even the carbine. The “depinger” and baffle mods I’ve done have helped my Benjamin rifles a lot.
The reason I am asking is much like a lot of shooters here, I have neighbors all around me. They don’t mind me shooting so they say, but I do everything I can to keep the noise down. I shoot a lot in my back yard primarily testing pellets and practicing hold techniques for when my son and I go hunting. We shoot the P-rod a lot; probably 800 pellets a week. I keep it tuned way down because we shoot 10 meter silhouette indoor at a local gun range. So the less they hear the happier we all we be. Can you imagine living next to a guy that is constantly using a staple gun or nail gun on his back porch day in day out and even at night?? Pop…pop…pop…pop…pop…pop…I’d complain!
The loudness issue with the Condor can be easily rectified with a shroud. There are several on the market that work very well.
I own a stock Condor 22 24″ and it is loud – not compared to a firearm – but loud enough that you don’t want to shoot it next to neighbors.
Mine is accurate but you need to find the pellet it prefers at the range you want to shoot. 100 yards is possible with some hold over – get a quality scope with mil dots or some other ‘ballistic marker’ on the reticle.
I have a cheap BSA laser mounted to the front rail for sub 15 yard shots.
It complements my TSS 177 12″ which is perfect for back yard work.
I got 10 pcps, since use condor i’ve never bring the others to hunt, i’m trying to replace all to air force products such as condor blue,red and talon blue,red 💡 💡
Do you want wood or plastic, personal preference!! from reading the m rod can be just as accurate as the condor.
I have the condor , love it, but i think it would be cool to have a M rod also, I don’t know which gun would be more accurate straight out of the box, i have tuned my condor extensively. but when i first bought it i really did not know much yet, i had read allot on here but most info was for heavy pellets and higher velocity, and they had no Kodiak’s when i bought the rifle so all i had to shoot the gun was 14 grain stuff , which did not like 1000 fps second except for the gamo hunter pellet , it shot pretty good ,
But not until i figured out how to slow the gun down did i see how really accurate the condor was. at 25 yards the gun would literally cut one hole,where it was shooting 1″ to 1 1/2″ at the higher velocities, all this was right out of the box,
So i would say that the worst i have ever seen the condor shoot with pellets that did not like higher velocities was 1 1/2″ at 25 yards at 1000 fps, but the same pelelts would shoot 1/4 ” at 700 to 800 fps at 25 yards.
IF i would have had 21 grain kodiaks from the start with a 2700 fill, with the set up from the factory , the gun would have shot fine.
COndor is way more versatile, way more power, allot more gun for the money. adjust from 14 grain pellets 400 fps, to 32 grain pellets at 1000 fps,i do most of my shooting now with 14 grain pellets in the 900 to 925 fps area.
M rod , more defined, more for the no frills , right to the point, not much adjusting kind of guy. find a pellet that it likes, fill and shoot.

Well I own both, to me it matters what i feel lik that day either doing some efficient target practice at a range of about 90 yds (mrod) or hunting at 100yds with my condor. both are great guns but i would have to say the condor is more powerful and in some case more accurate at long range, but the mrod is still highly accurate and super silent,and depending on how u fill it a pump is to much work with a condor…. if i were u i would look at the situation and see wat one suits u best….
the condor is damn loud… i own a stock condor in .22 with 24″ barrel and it’s damn accurate… i’d buy a condor if i were you 😛 (me = condor fan)

At 45 yards with my talondor Tony gun you can hear the pellet hit louder than the gun going off. 25 same way, Take the shroud off, and Oh shit. 😯
