Condor Ext .257
Hey Guys
Just thought I would put a couple of pictures of my Condor Ext .257 up.
Just finished it couple of weeks ago. So far I love how it shoots. I am
using Josh Porters .257 74gr bullets @ 960sh fps, and the accuracy is wonderful.
The barrel is a 32″ RL Airguns barrel, the valve was made by Doug. I have an
o-ring behind the top-hat to reduce the power. Without the o-ring fps is 1025.
filling the tank to 3300 gives me a few shots, still experimenting on best fps.
Hoping to use the Condor Ext .257 and my MAC30BR in benchrest extreme.
If you haven’t tried them yet Josh’s pellets are very nice and he does his best to
fit them to your gun. He can also build the Condor Ext.

Man, that Tim certainly knows what he is doing. I am sure that it’s not just all that pretty look….. But must perform even better than how it looks,,,,, as if that would seem possible. Very nice precision tack driving tool ya got going there!

Doh, I bad! I thought that was one of the benchrest guns built by Tim Mcmurray of Mac 1 airguns.
I just realized that you are sporting one of those precharged air cartridge guns….

Doug made the Valve, hammer and spring, the breech is stock, I used a Condor SS frame for the build.
I also left the safety intact in case I let someone shoot it that is not used to closing the breech before
they shoot. To me the safety is no problem to use.
So far the Condor is operating very smoothly.

Shoots JSB King Exact .30cal 44.75gr, and yes for those that have not seen it, it is an airgun 🙂

Who did your breech, hammer and such? I noticed that you built yours on a new styled trigger/safety frame. I intially had problems locking up the hammer and binding when using heavier spring hammer combinations due to the way the sear on the newer styled frames worked. I ended up going to the older styled frame. I think doug worked his way through this issue by changing the hammer back to the frame guided hammer instead of the barrel riding style he had been using before.
Hopefully my next Condor will be red or Blue!

That is a one off MAC30BR. Inovairtech is thinking of making it for the public. If they do it
will have a black lower and an AR15 type buttstock. the PRS that is on mine may be an option.
