condor for FT??
I havent read much on useing the condor for field target. I imagine that it has to much ass and shot consistancy varies
Field target needs a 20 FPE gun max.
Now I f I wanted to try FT with the condor, because I dont have the jing for another gun , what would you do to get it to 20 FPE ??
just drop the pressure to around 2000 and power wheel to around 5?
is there some mods I might consider before trying FT with a condor??

The E-TaC gives a pressure gauge and fill nipple to the gun while eliminating ergonomic issues by providing cant and cast off…

What dooes the E tac do exactly? is it like a regulator??

Hate it that I missed you at Roanoke….. I was there the better part of Friday.
I know this will go over budget, but to get the best Ergonomics for Field Target, I recommend the E-Tac, with the valve mod.

The restrictive valve spring retainer is easy to install….. I’d suggest giving tony a PM and seeing what he has. If you are looking to turn a FT type rig out of your gun, there are several good ways of doing this…. lower fill pressure and lighter valve spring may work out fine for you as well. The valve spring retainer from Tony and a bit of adjusting the tophat from me ended up with nice numbers.
If you dont mind to tinker, I’d try changing the valve spring and messing with the tophat to get the lower numbers……
I dont know if Tony ever has had a request to neuter an AF gun before, but I’m sure he could do it.

I have a restrictive valve stem from Tony and when I had my Talon running .177, 18 inch barrel, I was getting 80+ very consistent shots at around 16fpe on it.
Ergonomics still arent great for FT, but it will work out fine.
Man thats what I was afraid of.
I really didnt want to dump money into both a barrel and a MM tank.

but shit, for 2-300 more I can get a used Air Arms S400.
I think I might try the micro tank with 22 with a low fill .
I went to a FT meet, with my Condor when it was .22. I was knocking over the targets with face shots (not hitting kill zone)
And that was with power wheel set to 0. and Kodiak pellets.
I had damaged some of the targets as well.

Ive been through them all except Tombstone. almost moved to Serria vista. not to to far from Douglas. Ended up in Rio Rico about 45 min N of Nogales an about hour from Tucson. crazy shit going on down there .never see it on the news either.
Might as well have moved to Mexico.
