Condor in 177cal vs 22cal
Question – I want to buy another Condor and immediately put a 25cal barrel in it when it comes in. I’d like to have the 177cal barrel for a changeout someday. Is the 177cal Condor internals the same as a 22cal setup? Is the spring, hammer, high flo tank valve, etc the same in both guns, just different calibers ?
I want the best gun setup for the 25cal barrel, but I’d like to have the 177cal barrel put back also

At condor power levels .177 is next to useless. But to answer your question – They put a different spring in the valves for the .177 condors. it used to be they would put the weaker spring in all condors, but they changed it so that .22’s had the original spring they were supposed to come with because they got flooded with complaints of Condors not being up to spec.
That .177 spring they put in all Condor for a period of time causes a lot of people a lot of problems and it was all because AF were too lazy to use two different springs and keep track of which was with what gun so they didnt lose out on markets that restricted .22 pellet guns.
Gaylord offcourse denied all of this and insisted that our gauges and chronographs were mistaken…

You know I’ve meant to ask this so many times, but never did… I never really understood getting a gun with such massive power to shoot such a small light caliber. I believe a stock TSS will shoot .177 close to, or at 1000 fps, (depending on weight I figure) Can you even keep a .177 sub sonic with a Condor? If not the accuracy must really suffer. Seems to me the Condor is made for at least .22, if not .25 to really make use of it’s potential. Of course this is just my opinion, and to each their own! So I’ll shut up now lol.
