Can’t speak for Condor, but my TSS is shrouded with hammer slap mod PW at 10 and no ping. I thought the hammer slap would stop any mechanical vibration/resonance that WoK is referring too

I didn’t know about the hammer spring being the same, that’s good to know.
thanks Y/N

Condor hammer spring is the same as a Talons. The valve spring on a Condor is stiffer, so if anything I’d guess that makes the problem less profound on Condors….

I suffered from Tank Ping on my Talon SS and my Condor when I owned one. Maybe some people don’t just notice it. I only noticed the ping once I shrouded my guns.

Any idea why this problem is unique to Condor and not Talon?

I’m no expert but I think it has to do with with the extra weight and stronger spring. If I turn down the wheel to keep CP’s sub sonic the ping goes away

My guess is there no such thing as too close so long as it does not interfere with the operation of the valve. I think that remains an undefined specification.

It’s the breech, not the hammer that’s changed. Yes you can change it yourself if your fairly mechanically inclined, but you will void the warranty if that matters. Velocity if changed will be vary little.

I forgot to add make sure the top hat is not so close it strikes the tank when fired or the tank pressure is too low

On the subject of the top hat being too low, what IS too low? I’ve got mine all the way down to .060. Is that too low?

Tank ping occurs because a shock wave is traveling back and fourth inside the tank.

The only way to get rid of it is by putting a wall inside the tank with a small hole in it. That will allow the air to pass but will break up the resonating sound part.

some questions if i get it the hammer can i install it myself? and will the velocity be the same

I don’t own a Condor, but I think your referring to the “Tank Ping” it makes when fired. I believe the hammer slap mod should quiet it down.
