Q:

Condor on CO2?

I see it advertised that a condor .177 will get 850 fps on CO2. Is this realistic or is this with very light pellets? What will it get with 10.5’s?

Thanks,

Mike

.22 cal cp’s 14 gr 651 on almost empty tank of co2 with 24 in bbl
eujins were 565 for 6 shots but i think tank is about kicked

With a 24″ Condor .22 and Crossman 14.3 pellets and a setting of 9.5 getting 705 fps all day. Standard deviation at 2.

I’m getting about 650 fpm on CO2 with CPHPs, 7.9 g. That’s outdoors in 40 degree temps with hand warmer packs on the tank and insulated a bit.

Shooting as fast as I can comfortably reload it seems to be pretty stable at the 650 area. And the groupings also indicate pretty stable speeds.

I find it’s a great set up for target plinking, but I’m going to regulated HPA for hunting.

BlueJay, that is on all co2, but to readily notice pressure drop you would have to shoot fast.

swynn is that a general rule with all o2 guns or is that just with the a/f adapter and the way it’s configured?

GTBJ…No it doesn’t need a recovery time..per say..
When CO2 is released from the tank, the tank gets
colder and as you know CO2 does’nt like the cold…
so if you let the tank warm back up or recover your fps
will be more consistant.

Ran out of hpa and put the co2 on the condor. Set the power wheel one turn from the stop. 1.0 Sure is quiet, the hammer ping was the loudist noise. Shot about 150 beeman silver stings. Both ran out at the same time. Temperature was 60 degrees. Recovery time was time needed to reload. I could see the pellet going to the targets.

quote swynn:

….1 minute recovery time….

dose o2 need a recovery time, and why?

.177,24″CONDOR ,mine shoots 7.9gr cphp at an average of 750fps..
Thats indoors at 70deg….1 minute recovery time….

As far as fps I don’t know but co2 is temperature sensitive. The HOTTER the ambiant temperature the more FPS.
