Q:

Condor scope rings height

Waiting for Pyramyd Air to get the Condor back in. I need to get scope rings for it. I have some now but I think I just want to order a set when I purchase the gun. I have a few scopes I can put on it with 40 and 42mm obj. on them. What should I use fro ring height? Looks like people are using high but than I read other posts and some are using medium. Just using the 1mm rail on the gun with no additional rails or add ons to it. So it is just the 11mm rail than the rings than the scope. Scope is 1 inch in diameter.

Thanks

I’d highly recommend just getting some SportsMatch or FX adjustable rings and be done with it. I have FX No Limits rings and they are a perfect height once adjusted and lets my scope be near optically centered as possible. High quality rings. No need for adapters or anything that make your scope height 4″.

And I lap all my rings too just to be sure. My FX rings were off less than a mm horizontally.

Once you try adjustable rngs, you’ll never want to go back and you’ll realize what you’ve been missing out on.

Just my $0.00.

When all is said and done, the easiest and best way to go is to call Tim over at “Mac1” airguns in Gardena, California.
With just a phone call and a couple of questions, he will set you up perfectly with whatever it is that you exactly need to get the job done perfectly for your application.
Easiest, hassle free way to do it! He uses the UTG rings and then modifies them to add four M.O.A. into the rings so that the scope will center out and zero where it will work best. Usually this will be with a set of highrise rings on the Condor. It’s simple uncomplicated and elegant solution.
He gets about forty bucks but it is well worth the convienence. Believe me that I am pretty budget type of guy that doesnt like to spend money on things I can do myself, but his works so well and is so perfectly EZ, that I wouldnt have it any other way unless I really had to! :2cents:
