Q:

condor ss .25 shot string

I be been eyeballing this forum for while now. Finally picked up a new condor ss. Played around with it yesterday. What’s y’all thoughts on the shot string? 2800psi fill, pw 1-6, top hat adjusted to .086 with oring mod, shooting 31gr baracuda’s.

I would use 22 shots giving me an es of 16fps & around 52fpe. Also what’s y’all’s thoughts on pellets? Among all the reading mostpeople recommend the Baracuda or the Kodiak Match, so I didn’t get any Jsbs.

Thats a very great string :8:

I favored the ‘cudas in .22, but for .25 the JSB’s are shooting best for me.

I’ll be glad to try some jsbs in 25 & 34 grain. Especially the 34gr, I want to shoot a pig with this gun. With the 34gr I should be able to get enough fpe for that.

Good string but Kodiaks and Baracudas were all the thing a few years ago. Now I woukd say the buzz is mostly the 25.4 gr JSBs for tightest groups. The lighter weight should also get around 920-940 with your setup.

The Baracudas have the better BC so if they work well in your gun you have a winner.

The Cudas and the Kodiak are doing ok. Just not what I was expecting.
I have a friend that I’m gonna get some jsbs from & try. Didn’t order any the first round.

thats a very nice string mate. whats the grouping like?

The groups are not that great but I only have about 200 pellets through it. After I shot that string I noticed the pellets spiraling. So I back it down to shot the Cudas and the Kodiaks at 850. Groups ok now. In the 850 string I stopped shooting after 40 shots.

You can’t grumble with that shot string. :fishinghole:
