condor ss problems

hi, I just got my condor ss a week ago and it would not shoot a group at all, come to find out airforce put a 177 cal baffle in my .22 cal gun. so I am waiting for the new sound loc kit to get shipped to me. so I decided to do some shooting today and now on the cocking hammer the part you push forward to cock the gun, is getting cut and groved out bye maybe a berr on the inside of the frame. but its putting a nasty grove in that cocking hammer. this gun is brand new. will this effect the gun?
