Q:

Condor Tri-rail question.

Does anyone make a Condor sized tri-rail scope mount for the full length of the Condor scope rail? I have the one made for the Talon, but it is a bit short on the Condor as you know. Seems like this would help strengthen a weak spot in the frame. Just a thought.

Thanks for posting more info on this, as it’s always nice to know my options. I have to say though, I like Tony’s new design more.

My advice: Get the thing before you consider any other mods, it will change your gun.

Is Tony selling his already?

Got it. I’ve seen several models of them which is a must in my book, because as someone stated before, they address several issues that make these rifles soooo much better. I just have never heard of an etac. Tony makes a sweet one!

etac basically is another way to drop the tank, and add a gauge+quick fill.

etac-reg also has a regulator.

i cant find a link… 😕

Excellent and glad to hear this before money wasted on chasing my tail. Just for the record, what is “dropped and cast etac”? Sounds like a cast (stronger) lower scope rail mounting device of sorts. Please link or explain as I’m not familiar with etac at the moment. Thanks.

I just ditched my trail in favor of a dropped and cast etac.

I also have a wok trigger guard.

No frame flex and the scope is much much happier here.

The point you made makes a lot of sense to me. From what I understand, it’s always better to keep the scope as close to the barrel as possible for long range accuracy. I read on here somwhere that the top rail where the scope mounts is flimsy to some degree and there is frame flex when the gun is gripped too hard which causes POI issues.

This is why I asked about a full length tri-rail option. Seems like it still may be worth it if this is true and granted the scope isn’t affected by being mounted too high. Maybe a tri-rail and some short scope rings would do the trick. ??? Sometimes one has to choose the lesser of two evils and I’m not sure if this is a case for this or not. I’m interested to hear everyone’s opinion none the less.

Better off getting either an E-tac to lower the bottle a bit or TT’s new fangled bottle lowering thing. Use Woks Trigger guard thingy to strengthen the frame at that weak area. Best not to put any metal between the frame and your scope. The Tri-rail at best is mediocre quality…
