Q:

Condor Valve

I ordered my Condor with the talon valve. I would like to try a Condor valve in it. I have checked all of the major online air gun suppliers and they don’t have the valves listed on their websites. They will sell me a tank with valve, would rather not pay $170.00. Do I have to order the valve from AirForce or can I get it elsewhere?

Will the internals from a Condor valve fit in a Talon valve housing?

Can a Blodnob style valve be turned down to shoot Kodiaks at 900-950 fps or is it more for 25 and larger calibers?

I just cleaned the bore on my Condor last Sun. Used a Dewey rod and brass brush with JB paste, 25 passes from breech to crown. Read one of your old posts last night where you said that you can’t lap a new barell with a brush, the paste gets between the bristles and doesn’t do any good.

Do you think that I would damage the bore if I gave it another 25 passes with a patch and the JB paste? I still seem to be getting larger groups than I should be getting. I would hate to have to admit that I suck as a shooter.

Yep! Tight patches and paste does a fair job. A little metal polish to finish it off works very well. JB can be a little corse. If you dont have any fine metal polish, a little baking soda and good gun oil has been known to make a good polish!

Let someone else shoot your gun and then you will see if you suck or not

brush and paste did nothing for you. other than scratch your barrel.

patchs and paste is much better and a lead lap would be best mind you a patch is better for a choked barrel.

How nice and concentric is the barrel leade? how well is the barrel crowned? how consistent is the guns power?

all contribute to issues.

Frame flex, scope quality, pellet choice, shooting style/pressure, trigger control………………….

Thanks Mike

Yep, I got the parts to change mine to the Condor valve from AF.

Mike

I went the other way and changed a condor tank to a talon . I think the parts were abot $55.00 And the complete valve would have been about $85.00 . Call A.F. they have the parts .Marvin
