Q:

confused ,,frustrated need any advice on suppressors and Con

I’ve been looking at several air rifles and seem to keep ending up back at a condor. My buddy has a talon ss and I fired it and it is sure quiet …I am new to this and it would be my first and at these prices, hopefully last PCP…I am not as particular weighing pellets and measuring velocity and trying to figure out if I can’t put all pellets in the same hole because a butterfly in Mexico farted and made the world wind currents change…..Cut to the chase,,,I have vermin and pidgeon problems and want to hope to have kills out to 100 yards and less hopefully quietly…

1…is that unreasonable to expect?

2 …..can I make a suppressor to tone down the sound to talon ss level ?

3…..is it practical to expect a 3442 steel 130 scuba tank to give me several fills or do I need a s106w 4350 tank ?

4….If I used kodiaks and jsb exact heavies at a lower power ,,,can I expect kills at 50 yards?

5. how many fills from a scuba and how many shots per fills can I expect at ajusted powers from the high flow tank?

6. I heard you can use a talon ss tank on a condor. What can I expect? Is it possible? should I buy a spare hi flo or regular tank?

7. what is the largest game you could take if I could get head shots?

sorry but when I’m gonna drop a grand in this economy on a gun that doesn’t take deer at 300 yards, I just want to know what I’m getting into…I saw a Daystate air ranger ….more than twice the cost and a heavy beast and this is just the result of one of many PCP’s I’ve checked out….Thanks more than you know for your collective wisdom and this site

1. 100 yards with a stock .22 Condor maybe with a .25 Modded YES.

2. YES you can make a suppressor(shroud) to quiet it down below a stock TalonSS. If you know how?

3. I do not know anything about scube tanks. Please see the Air Hog website.

4. Yes — Once you get the rifle dialed in you just leave it alone and use the mil-dots to adjust for elevation.

5. Please see answer 3.

6. If you are going to do 100 yard shots you will need the Hi-flow tank.

7. If I was killing vermin — Raccoons. Please note I do not think a stock .22 condor will be a one shoot kill on a coon at 100 yards because will need to do a body shot and who knows what organ you will hit.

Some of your tank questions maybe answered here http://www.airhog.com/tank.htm .

You could set up 2 Condors for the price of the Daystate….Check with Tony at Talon Tunes..He can rig you up with exactly what you want the first time…..There will be nothing else you need to do with it once Tony has it tuned but shoot it…..Look at the top of this forum…and click on talontunes.com …
