Q:

Couldnt believe the difference

Ok so with anticipation of my new gun coming I went to the store and bought some new pellets. I have .177’s laying around so I ordered the Talon SS in .177 and got an 18″ .22 barrel to go with it. My local store did not have a huge variety of .22’s but I manage to get a tin of 500 of the Crow Magnums. When I cracked open the tin and looked at the size difference I could not believe it!! I talked to the store owner and had him order some Kodiaks in .22 and to try and find some predetors in .22.

I am like a kid before Christmas, I cant wait for my new gun to arrive on the big brown Santa’s back!! I dont think I will sleep a wink tonight!!

This is a rather cool new name for Seans valve.

Talon Blood Valve.

Selph’ , name it so….!! :2

Yeah-
probably right, however the good news is, with a switch of the tank/valve, barrels and hammers you can have the best of both worlds.
IE, Talon purchase, and get a condor tank with the weight and ya have a condor.
I guess what I am trying to say is, in reality you could build a condor out of a talon, or a talon out of a condor 8)
I for one have a SS, my first Airforce gun, and keep it stock, less the WOK Worxs and such.
Then I have a regular talon, which is my mess with gun.
I currently waiting for a modded valve from one of the better known mods. here[ an extra tank I bought ] and got a brad valve coming as well.
This stuff is for the regular talon, not my ss.
Should I have bought a condor as a second rifle ? maybe, maybe not.
This is what makes these guns so bitchin, adaptability
😛 😛 😛
One could have the best of both, if they are willing to switch back and forth between the 2 set-ups, I chose to have one for tinkering and one for small, quiet, urban assault.
And by the way my stock talon tank with the 25/24″ barrel does just fine with the pesky starlings and crows out to 35 yards and probably out further.

Just an opinion.

I am not sure what the drop is on those things. I do not know enough about them. It would seem logical if you want all out power and a .25 the condor would seem easier to convert.

Slayer-
high 700’s like 780 -790 ish with kodiaks, actually with 25 crow mags, crony sittin 5 yards out. here is the string.
Pretty effective with alot of shots

Yeah I want more and I am waiting on some parts to up the talon’s potential.
Got a SS that I keep stock as well.

I have a Talon SS and a Condor and would modify the condor before that Talon. Not that you cannot do it but with less odifications it seems like a better fit. There are alot more experienced guys here to tell you what you need to do. I would not be happy in the 700 ft per sec class. May be perfectly fine but sounds too low for the Air Force crowd. LOL

I’m spittin 25’s with a talon and talon valve, 24″ barrel though.
I am waiting for the usa blood valve, and another stepped up one as well.
However, stock talon valve with the 24″ barrel works pretty nice.
I forgot what the fps was, it’s posted somewhere here, from memory in the high 700’s. Does a mess with the starlings 😈 😈 😈

I will be getting a .25 barrell to go with the collection, but I think that is a better fit for a condor, am I wrong in thinking that?

I said to myself what is the difference .177 and .22 you cannot notice that with your eye. Yes my eyes popped out when I saw those kodiacs!
Never looked back at that .177 again!

Wait until you take the next step to .25.

Take your time and enjoy the .22. It will do the job.

Yep 22’s are much bigger than the 177’s.
Now, look at a 25 against a 22 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯
It’s just like drugs, more more more 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Put a 25 next to a 177 and you’ll probably be shocked.
22 is a good round, and available.
