Does anybody have a suggestion on a good scopable/laserable pistol for close quarters rat hunting down to 3 feet?

What do you mean by 22xx?

You’d be looking at PCP then and the price would be WAY up….. Even then, I turned my FN8 pistol into a carbine because as a pistol, it was far too bulky.
Unless….
You go with the aforementioned 13xx or 22xx and put a Boss Repeater breech on it.
Really, for what you are going for, a 13xx or 22xx is ideal. YN already gave you plenty of useful links and info.

Crosman 2240 or 1377 would be a good choice, but would need the inter mounts as they come stock with a plastic breech with no dovetail or you can buy the steel breech kit or order one from the custom shop that come with steel breech and dovetails for a scope. I have had the inter mounts and cant recommend them.
The Marksman 2004/Beeman P17 can be scoped and is very accurate – the power isn’t there for anything but rats/small birds so if you get it, but that doesn’t seem an issue for your use.
For close range, I’d say just use open sights and a 1377/2240. A scope/red dot zeroed at 3 feet could be off quite a bit just a few inches more or less than that distance. Iron sights will be good for a bigger range difference. If you have the cash, then any 10m pistol will do the job very well.
You could also buy one of those replica semi auto co2 pistols for rat hunting at close range, but I haven’t had any experience with those except a Daisy BB one I had for plinking a long time ago.

Good is powerful enough to kill rats up to 30 feet, but not so power full it blows through it and damages something. I would also prefer a .22 cal pellet over a .177, and .25 would be totally bad ass.
Define “good”. I could say a .44 magnum or 9mm would be good, but our definitions of good may be different. A 2240 might serve you well. 😀

22xx or 13xx stands for all the different models in that powerplant. Once you put a longer barrel, forearm, stock on a 2240,2250, 2260, technically it is a different gun if that makes sense. It is just easier to refer to them as 22xx or 13xx because there are so many configurations. http://www.network54.com/Forum/275684/
