Crazy idea?
Could a person cut off the top rail in such a way so as not to destroy their gun? I was thinking if a person had the ability to unscrew the top half, they could make clearance for Jims E-Tac with gauges and foster fitting. Couldn’t you thread the base of the handle? Or another way would be to “re-angle” the back edge more vertical to make more room. What do you think?

–edit– this is how I used that chopped frame. The shorter version with the red-dot on it is awesome. Just swap optics in your head, I dont have a pic.
Current config, shoots better than any other config I own. Almost rivals the S410, in accuracy, and definitly trumps the s410 in power.
This could be done without sacrificing any of the stiffness the trirail affords….
Y.N. How do you think the Long E-Tac would fit an average (5’9”-5’10”) man?
It could be done.
Airforce really should mill out the back of the scope rail for clearance so a small gauge or fill nipple to be used.
I personally like the way the talon tank fill but I also bought the Talon because it was a take down rifle and did not need a big case to transport.
I like keeping the gun in the take down configuration.

BUT I wouldnt recommend that just to be able to use an E-Tac – I’d get a longer E-Tac –

I’m 6’1″ and it fits me fine, and I have the Morgan adjustable on the end and it still fit’s fine.
Certainly worth it to still be able to unscrew the bottle in field.
