Cricket .25 Compact 25 3/4" OAL 43FPE groups
Just love this compact .25 at just under 26″ its a joy to hold and shot. I use the stock shroud–just made the through hole slightly larger and sound like standard .25. the barrel I polish to give it some spice. Next on the project a standard .25 with a long forearm this week. my shot groups at 38y is a 5 shot group the 55y was a 7 shot group, look like the same accuracy when its was 24″ barrel now 16″

How’s that BC .30 cal single shot tray I made working out??

I haven’t tried the tray other than making sure it fit. Days are getting shorter, not much play time in the evening.
Do the compacts come in .25 or did you convert it?
No doubt about it – I like these things short and petite. There is just something about the thin checkered grip on the very light skeleton stock and the small size of the Crickets. 35″+ is just too much for a BP. I ended up with the standard 30 cal Matador this time but that is as long as I am willing to go at about 31″ on a BP I’ve decided. I want a 177 compact Cricket (24.5″) at some point with an ultra light scope for house hugging (walking around the house and shooting the woodpeckers off the cedar siding). 😯
