Q:

Cricket after shooting hiatus

Hey all, after coming off of a brief shooting stint, I decided to un-bag my .22 Cricket and shoot a 14-shot group at 15 yards at my backyard to see if all is still well with my bullpup. The group was shot with the Cricket’s foregrip supported by a shooting bag and my right hand supporting the rear stock (yep, I’m a lefty). Although it was done at 15 yards, I guess the photo shows that the gun still shoots perfectly despite being bagged up and awakened from hibernation.

I see you have AA410 too. How do you compare it with Cricket on accuracy? I know AA410 is very accurate rifle.

Both are accurate rifles, but I like the design of the Cricket better. The way the barrel is locked onto the scope rail makes it impervious to POI changes. When you bump the barrel or air tube on the S410 with a fair amount of force the barrel will be pointing in a different direction, and at long distances the shift becomes drastic. Plus, my Cricket is regulated and has an extreme spread of no more than 8 FPS over a range of 50 shots with JSB 18gr. pellets.

Rough crowd lol. I am interested in a cricket. I am left handed as well. Do you have any trouble with a check weld whether it be cocking handle or magazine. I am on the fence about a 22 or 25. I currently have a Talon 177 but not at all pleased with it. I like the cricket and hear good things. I want it quite and thats my dilemma on getting the 25 over the 22.

Though I wish my Cricket was a full lefty, I have no problems with the lever being on the right side. I placed my scope in a position that provides good eye relief while keeping my cheek at minimum contact with the cocking lever. The great thing about the gun is that the cocking is smooth and requires little effort that I don’t have a problem pulling it with my right hand using a technique I developed.

Haha! The bag was actually bumped pretty hard on a couple of occassions, but it’s nice to see that the bug is one toughie.

Yes sir! Did read the whole post. You should change to: dog chews on the case and toss it out the window while you’re dRiving. Then rolls down the mt and got ran over by 2 18 wheelers, I meant 4 18 wheelers. When you got it back, the barrel bended, scope rail tilted and it still hold zero and got those grouping. Ill say it myself, that is some great grouping!

Never shoot at 15y Before, but I think my rws 48 spring rifle can achieve that grouping. I just don’t get it. Why are we shooting 15y with these quality airguns. Ill be impress if it was a crossman multi pumps.

Yes and my waterblaster can shoot such a group at such a distance too. Calm down. Read the post carefully. I was just testing to see if everything was fine with my gun and decided to share.

Oh yeah, I’m sure the Cricket can do long distances. I’m just limited to 15 yards right now. I need to find some real estate besides going to the range to make the gun sweat a bit. It sure needs the workout from a decent period of non-activity.

IMHO 15yards is too close distance for this gun and power of this gun. For this distance is good to shoot with 7,5 joule airgun. 😆

I think this kind of rifle is necessary to test for 55yards… and say yes the gun is in good condition 😉

Hey man;

Check it out the center Bullseye, this was 5shot out of my Benjamin Marauder with Baracuda Match 21gr, i believe it was more than 15yards, and to be honest if mine is not tighter then not larger.

This was with $470 M-Rod, the barrel is not LW also, ( That is why i can sell my M-Rod with $ 2,100 here in my city )

That’s how my Condor shoots at 15 yards
