Cricket bleed hole.. Always has grease around it..
I’m assuming it’s grease as it doesn’t dry. I wipe it off and it’s back the next day or later. I was wondering for the longest time what it was, then I realized that I keep a thin coat of silicone grease on my fill probe and that grease must be forced into the fill assembly, then forced out again over time through the bleed hole..
If that’s what’s going on here, how come I can leave my rifle sit for weeks and not lose any pressure? Obviously some air is flowing out of the bleed hole and carrying the grease out.
