Greg thanks for all the links. Im going to order both spring types in 2.25 and 2.50 lengths.

Ive been trigger spoiled after shooting the Cricket rifle(trigger was tuned by AZ) and Airwolf(trigger is electronic). So when I went back to the Compact trigger it felt like crap, my Compact has some slop in the 1st stage no matter what adjustments are made. Im going to email Ernest too see if he has an opening for a tune.

Greg thanks again for the hammer springs you sent me. I used all the 2.25″ can you add a link to where you bought them?

There was someone on Tag that made an insert bushing for the Cricket trigger.
One needed to send it to him so he could machine out the OEM one and add a small brass bushing to get rid of the slop.

I’ll try and find the link ………. and reply post it here.

If the 2.25″ spring is the stainless steal one which is the shiny one here’s the link.

If it’s the dull looking one it’s this one.

On the menu you can order longer lengths of this spring and cut, terminate and grind the ends yourself.

Comparing the 3 BP triggers I have.

The best is my Mutant Shorty for it’s many points of adjustability and consistency ……… its feel is second to none.

The Crickets and Edgun R3M are about neck and neck but the slight edge goes to the Cricket. It’s a bit better IMO because it can be adjusted lower in pull weight then my Edgun without it becoming dangerous. They both have a bit of play/slop from the trigger rod and buckle play, feels about the same now after I took some timeout to modified the Edguns trigger from its horrible out of the box feel and inconsistency.

In the Crickets all I did was to lube up the contacts with this lube per Sir Ville.

Install an O-ring per Ernest Rowe to prevent the 2nd stage adjustment screw from back out.

I think it depends on the generation of Cricket. I had a older .177 standard that had a decent trigger, a bit of “creep” for lack of a better word. Then I han a .22 Compact and the trigger was much better, I looked at the trigger asssembly and saw it was not all the same, some parts were different/replaced. Both triggers were tuned by Sir Ville and I really like the Compact trigger.

But I have no experience outside of Crickets in PCP, so I’m not the best source.

Excellent reply Cricket. Thanks
