Cricket: comfortable cheek weld for lefties?
I just received my .25 skeleton walnut Cricket . As a southpaw shooter, I can’t help but notice that the cocking lever tends to be uncomfortable on the cheek. Anyone found an easy mod to take the bite out of the lever? Even a piece of heat shrink tubing might do the trick. I thought of making a thin teardrop-shaped cover out of some material, or even just rounding off the square edges and polishing with a Dremel. Reshaping the hook for lower profile looks like it’s out of the question as I bet the material is brittle and can’t be bent either cold or hot.
Anyhow, with all the creative minds on the forum, I thought maybe someone had already come up with an ideal way to do this.
No sense reinventing the wheel…

Suck it up….. 😯 No really I’m a southpaw also so know what you are talking about. I must say the cocking lever is sure there but not all that bad for a leftie. I have given this some thought and am in the process of making a different wooden piece to cover the breech but will extend out over the cocking lever just enough to take the edge off of it on my cheek. Still be able to cock the rifle from under the extended wooden cover. Let you know how it comes out. 😀 😀 If this works it will be an easy fix and no need to bend anything. The world is against us lefties…..damn right handed people make everything 😈 😈 😈 Maybe all us lefites should band together and sue the right handed world…..life is not fair…. 🙄 🙄 🙄 Damn lawers…..never mind….suck it up… 😎 😎 😎
