It aint about the objective.
It is about cheek pressure to stock to get a quick and full view through the scope.
High is more better.

I thing about comfort… but remember my scope have objetive 42mm only..I think in one mount medium profile also.

someone has more suggestions?
thanks.

We’re talking confort here, not clearance right? For me the high works best, and for nearly 100bucks a pop for them mounts its good to get it right the first time around.

I tried low mounts and they are not comfortable I switched to medium mounts and it is very good for same hawke 😉
IMO high mount is not necessary for 42mm hawke tac. objektive. Different situation should be if you go to hawke with 56mm objektiv…

hi,
I got the same setup (LEUPOLD Quick Release(med) and I prefer the high mount…so be careful on your choice of height.

There are a few pics of the Hawke 6.5-20 in this older thread… http://www.talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=256107
You should go for high mounts. They will give you enough hight for a comfortable shooting position.
You could even try out medium mounts but low mounts are… too low
