Here’s another tuning subject:
Photo #1 without the mag oring, I inserted the pellet straight from the tin, the larger skirt or dent skirt will hang the one that pass the inlet will free fall and hang on the burrs on the oring grooves —> when push through it left a nick/scratches on the skirt.
Photo #2 here you see the finish polish on the right, now I did the same test–> the pellets that pass through the inlet just fell through the mag, the one with the larger skirt I push and had only minor resistant and fell through without hanging on the oring groove.
Photo #3 shows the polish inlet taper on the right.
So the purpose of this tune is to: smoother cocking and smoother pellet pass through without added scraping / removal of lead from the burrs, smoother pellets insertions with the taper inlet.
Here are the diamond resin burrs that was used: 600, 1200, 3000, and 8000g, and burrs to taper the inlet.
