Cricket Mod v2.0

Finally got my lathe up and running and having a blast with it. Made this 7 inch, screw on Carbon fiber moderator to replace the OEM shroud. It extends past the air gauge 1 3/4 inches. The moderator is only 6 inches long but the other inch is just cosmetic. My goal is to to get it as quiet as my other mod (OEM shroud + 7 inch slip on shroud). I am pretty darn close to it. The way it is now is backyard friendly but I just love the sound that my slip on shroud makes.

For some reason the moderator looks huge in the picture but it is actually the same size or just a tiny tiny bit smaller than OEM.

I have to say these guns are powerful. I’ve taken the moderator apart so many times that there was a time when I forgot to screw in the set screws by the screw on threads and the moderator shot out and hit my fence like a grenade launcher.

Back to the dungeon to work on a new cap for it to match the rear.

Looks great Donny! I launched an old Condor shroud once; good thing it landed in tall grass.

Y’know, if you rig fold-out archery blades and put a sharp, pointed (hp) cap on those moderators, we could loosen the grub screws and hunt deer by drilling them w/ the can ๐Ÿ˜›

And go to hell JHONDY, nobody cares about that spanish shroud piece of shit, you thread jacking cock sucker.

Can you – or anyone – tell me how JHONDY is properly pronounced in Spanish. Hhhoondie ? Xhondie? Blondie ? I thought it was impossible to have J and H next to each other. Well – i quess iยดm ignorant. Or a Stupido… :ugeekn:

Glad to see you getting some stuff done and having fun with your new lathe Donny! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Donny, I have a .25 Standard cricket with a 18″ ST barrel 14mm OD that’s shooting 80fpe—I need you to make me a 12″ CF full shroud slip on set screw on with 1/2 20 adapter with cap.

also for two .20 cal 12″ CF shroud

and for two .30 cal 19″ CF shroud

These are conversion kits that are already sold—so after passing the POI test, I’ll let you know then order more!!!

Looks GREAT!!

Thanks everyone, I plan to make full shroud replacements for the gun as well with the 1/2 x 20 male adapter so you can screw on a suppressor if you want. Whatever you want I can pretty much make now. Some people like the short HW100 suppressor that just screws onto the barrel and others like the full shroud look.

Keyser, I have about 6 baffles inside that definitely slows down the air flow. I also drill one small hole in them as well. If you don’t give it a way to escape, it will rip your shroud away from the grub screws and tear the CF shroud. I learned the hard way lol. Also want to note that I did not epoxy my moderator. If you’ve own moderators/suppressors you know that lead builds up in it quick. I want people to be able to unscrew the grub screws and clean the internals once in a while.

Way to go Donny!
Looks very nice!

Awny

Donny, That sure looks good!

Donny looks good. I know what you mean about creating grenade launchers when you don’t secure the moderator. How many baffles did you use?
