Q:

Cricket owners need some help

Any of you Cricket owners that have a Cricket with a walnut stock, if you get time I would like a picture of the cheek rest that is on the walunt wood model, if you would a picture of the underside, I am assuming it is held on by magnets?. I have a synthetic stock and was wanting to make a cheek rest out of something, not sure what yet probably wood of some sort, If any of you have a bit of time I would appreciate looking at a few pictures. Thanks Eddie

If I get one made out of whatever wood or material I decide on, this will be something I am thinking about offering to Cricket owners for there Cricket with synthetic stocks!

Thanks Hoot never thought about the aluminum breech, did get that far as far as checking that one! Dam another plan deverted! maybe velcrow, now I need to use my brain again, I hate when that happens it usually hurts really bad!

I put into cheek piece some double sided scotch tape. Now it holds veeeery good.

Thanks dwm i haven’t had much time this week to really take a look at it, but sense you told me it is a press fit on the breech, I think a couple small magnets would work well, easy to take off and should stay on good!

Possibly not!

The breech is aluminum, and the only ferris metal is the barrel and some loading parts. It has very little magnetic attraction even to the rare earth magnets. I tried.

If you mill one out, I’d like to be on the list, but better plan on a snap-on fit.

Eddie,

The cheek rest is milled to fit snugly on the breach. It’s actually easy to bump it off since you just press it on. I assume it was designed to allow the magazine to be changed by removing the cheek rest, which I never do. I actually have my double faced taped down along with some foam to dampen the hammer slap… Hoot style.

Sorry… the attached photo sucks for your needs.
