Q:

Cricket really is a tack driver

So I spent all weekend and 2 full tins of JSBs and I still couldn’t get any decent accuracy out of my brand new .22 STD. Chrono looked good, cleaned the barrel….a few pellets would pile up followed by flyers. Took a day off last night to ponder. Cleaned the barrel and really tightened the scope mount tonight….voila! Here’s five at 40 yards well inside a dime!

no need to you’ll just waist air….

I’ve pushed about 4 magazines worth of lead through it since I fixed the scope mount and it appears to be very repeatable…will know more once I’ve had a chance to shoot more on a calm day.

She’s Ernest tuned:

Haven’t filled it beyond the Ernest recommended 220b yet.

I’d say your Bug can kill bugs !!

Nice shooting there ke3qz.

If you don’t mind me asking, how is your Bug tuned ?
Reg setting, pellet weight, speed, ending and top off fill pressure ?
Any crony stats data and shot count ?

I see nothing wrong with that group. Same here I always shoot for the head on any bird if it’s seeable.

Nice result! But more important is how repeatable result is?? If similar result you get with 40 shots then we may say – great gun. But 40 shots I could not got with result as you shown.

My result with 16gr. pellet for 50 meters. 899fps 5 shot
But another 35 shots I could not stack that similar.

It depend of course about quality shooter.

You are being ridiculous it’s far more interesting trying to figure out why your Cricket isn’t shooting well then to sit there and deal with a Cricket that is in good health stacking pellets with boring accuracy. Because that is what this gun does stacks pellets :biggrinn:

What’s better than a pellet stacker when pesting? What’s worse than a scatter gun when pesting?

A house sparrow at 65 yards in the eye. It’s boring accurate.
