Cricket scope rail torque
Does anyone know how much torque the bolts should have on the scope rail. I got me a torque wrench and want to fill to 150 bar and loose all the bolts and re torque them. Does anyone have the knowledge or best practices for this

Do not take anything i say seriously nor as a Fact. But this is actually something to consider. Make sure you don´t tighten things so the Barrel gets twisted. I shit you not… 😯
And I take what Ville says VERY SERIOUSLY!!! I take everything he says as the TRUTH, period!! But only when it comes to Crickets, the rest is all bullshit and hogwash……. I’ve learned a lot from the man knowledge and wisdom….

Mine were torqued to over 40 nm from factory. So I’m not sure what gives

See the above ! 😉
There’s no problem if you have everything centered. Then i quess tou can torque all you want. If not then good luck.

They do torque them but not to 30 in. Lbs. There’s no anti-seize used on any bolts either so you will get false reading and stuck bolts too. You do as you wish but if you put them really tight and the bridge is binding you’ll torque tension on the barrel. Period.
I have already seen a couple of bend barrels caused by this. You have been warned…

WOW, that sure sounds like a lot to me. Mine came VERY tight so I backed them off one at a time. Still shoots right on the money every time… :biggrinn:
I bet Ernest would know…..

Guys,,,, i couldn’t even understand what are you talking about????? poor Hemn you just started ,,, how can you understand from skilled guys ???
When I torque them at 30 in lb it was less than it came so I backed them off to 30…..?

30 in.lbs ?? Good luck – if you didn´t make sure the barrel is perfectly centered and the Bridge is not binding then you may have a bent barrel by now.
Those bolts need no more than 10-15 in.lbs of torque anyways.
The most imporatnt thing is to first remove the stock bolt so the whole scope/airtube bridge can move freely once those four retaining bolts are loosened. Then you make sure to place the barrel right and align the transferport holes. Then you apply little torque to those two bolts in small increments untill all are snug and then finish with light, even torque. I use 15Nm on those two at the breech end and only around 10Nm on those at the muzzle end of the bridge. I have also lapped the whole Bridge – both where it clamps the AT and the same where the Barrel is clamped.
I´ve learned that you can , quite easily , bend the Barrel if everything isn´t carefully centered – especially if one uses high torque on those bolts.
Not trying to spook anyone but trust me – you can (and will) bend the barrel very easily. Quess what that does to the accuracy ??
