Cricket scope rings 30mm
So if price is factored out, what scope rings would you all consider best?
Don’t want to lap the rings so has anyone tried the larue tactical mounts? They are outstanding on my firearms but cricket is first air rifle with picatinny.

$2k BB gun + $2k scope + $300 rings + $100 level + $300 Atlas = One blown oring or broke valve stem puts it completely out of service. The only answer = 10 PCPs :twak:

Thank you. I have been looking into these as well. AlwAys consider the optic to be of a value equal to the rifle so a 2k rifle + 2k optic makes one definitely not want to skimp on the rings. Have only used larue for powder burner rifles but a high speed air rifle is new.
Oh. What height did you go with on the Seekins?
I use UTG QD rings and have never had a problem, Work as intended and don’t ever loosen up on you.
I have a couple of pairs laying around somewhere – one pair exactly like that and another with a “true” QD lever – and they work as intented. I remove that dumb tape inside the ring though and lap them.
Leupold QR. :2cents:
… and what abot this UTG mounts ? http://www.leapers.com/prod_detail.php?itemno=RG2W3156 are they good ?
Like Iron said – medium or high – depending the cheek piece. The best rings – IMO – are either Burris Signature Zees or Sako Optilock. Both have Polymere inserts and won´t leave a mark on your scope nor will they ever bind. Expensive rings though – especially the Optilock option …
If one has a 2000$ Rifle and 500$ Scope there´s no excuse not to have proper Rings as well. If i was to use any cheapo Rings the least thing to do is to properly align and lap those rings. A PCP has no recoil but anyway .
Trust me on this one ; I had/have a pair of Sportsmatch rings and those are considered as good set of rings so i didn´t Lap them. Big mistake …
I have a couple of the Larue mounts on my AR15’s and they are very nice but the height is not very good for the Edgun or Crickets. I went with Seekins Precision rings on my Edgun because they offer many different height options and the quality is very good.

You can use the Sidewinder with the Weaver six screw tactical mounts to split wood. 😀 Extra-high $35 Weaver mount on top of the front ring.
Outstanding reviews.

Meho
Thank you. That was the exact one I was looking at.
he height is set for 1.285″ centerline of the scope above the M1913 Picatinny rail.
So what is cricket distance from center of barrel to rail?
Burris all the way

I have the ones with inserts on my 25. That’s even better

I can’t speak to the Cricket but I have used the LaRue Tactical LT120-30 mount on my Edgun and it worked just fine.

I have tried this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Six-Bolts-Heavy-Duty-30mm-Extreme-Low-Profile-Weaver-Picatinny-Scope-Mount-Ring-/121120865679?ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123
No good for Hawke sidewinder too low. I can not recommend it.
I saw a thread somewhere where somebody used like a sticky back felt or fleece type material over the breech instead of the cover anyone recall what that was they used or know what thread I’m talkin bout
