Q:

Cricket Trigger Factory Setting

Since no one responded I put this in a separate thread. My trigger was set to a 11 oz pull from the factory. I am going to leave the pull weight since I normally set my triggers if possible to about 12 ozs. The travel is a bit long though and I plan on shortening it if possible.

I was just curious if others were set that low? Thanks!

BTW – sparrows at 2 and squirrels at 1. Still waiting for the fill adapter….

Thanks. It is and I did that. It took a nice thick wrapping to stop the leak and it does work fine now. It seems to be a common problem on the forums.

THe Air Venturi adapter uses a delrin washer inside the adapter for the probe to seal against eliminating the possibility of leaks. Besides that they are $10 yet rated for 5000 psi. I would like a spare probe/adapter anyways. I am likely to lose one. 🙁

Make sure you ordered the correctly threaded fitting, 1/8″ BSPP Female threads for the fill nipple. When wrapping the teflon make sure you wrap in the same direction as the threads or CW.

I have found them in stock at newegg.com and ordered one.

quote John in PA:

Use this adapter, available from Pyramyd Air.. Seals on the Delrin ring at the bottom. No leaks. Reasonable price. I’ve got 3 or 4 of them on various probes. http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Air_Venturi_Male_Quick_Disconnect_1_8_BSPP_Female_Threads_Steel_Rated_to_5000_PSI_Incl_Delrin_Seal/3550

I did some more tweaking on the trigger and have it set very close to my Air Ranger 12 oz pw and similar short travel. My son says the Cricket trigger is smoother. 😆 I always wondered if the the bullpup trigger linkage might have a negative effect on the trigger. KalibrGun did that trigger right!

Thanks. I’ll add one to my next Pyramyd order.

I haver a lot more testing to do but I am fearful this Cricket may outshoot my .25 Air Ranger. They are both extremely accurate and I am an old bench rest comp guy. I never thought I would see pellet guns under 1 MOA.

I picked off a vole today with the Cricket at 34 yards.

Thank you guys very much. A LOT of teflon did the trick. I wonder if Joe knows his adaapters threads have an issue on the Cricket probes?

will do….. Thanks

Use more teflon tape. I had the same issue with my fill probe and Joe B adapter.

Ok – I have the trigger adjusted and it is really nice.

Another noob Cricket owner question. I went to fill it and the probe leaks a bit. I got it back up to 200 bar but nothing stops the leaking completely. I used some teflon tape with Joes adapter so I don’t think it is the threads leaking. I have the set of spare o-rings but have not replaced them yet. I also lubed the O’s with silicon grease first. Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks it sounds nearly the same.

Mine is at 11-12oz or 3/4 lb, I’ll have to recheck with my gauge. I adjusted the first stage spring pressure up, and shortened the second stage release via the sear adjustment. I didn’t lengthen the trigger rod to shorten the first stage length because I have a nice second stage wall the way it’s at. I’m very happy with the trigger. :thumb:
